Today I am thankful for the autumn shower that watered the rhubarb, the friend who boosted by son's confidence, the supper simmering on the stove, the snoring dog by my side, the man upstairs ironing, the patient landlord nextdoor, my faith in the future and the fact that I have the freedom to make my own choices.
